HML Recycling, the Hyndburn-based metal recycling company, take pride in recycling 99% of the waste they receive – less than 1% goes to landfill. Their company ethos is to recycle as much as possible, to minimise impact on the environment.
As part of their drive to continuously improve and expand, HML Recycling have invested £140,000 in a new, super sized hook loader. When pressure tested, the skip was able to carry a total weight of 30 tonnes – that’s the equivalent of four fully grown elephants!
A standard hook loader will usually carry 15-18 tonnes, so this new super sized vehicle will enable HML to carry double their usual weight – meaning less trips on the road are required, further reducing their carbon footprint. It can also carry a forklift truck on the back, meaning more challenging jobs are easily completed in the same journey.
Stuart Rogan, Managing Director of HML Recycling, said “We’re delighted to be able to invest in this new equipment. Not only can we carry out bigger jobs for our clients, we’re also really dedicated to helping the environment and this new hook loader will make a difference – every positive change adds up!”
HML have been established for over 50 years and are industry leaders, and category experts. They excel on duty of care and environmental legislation, and are licensed brokers. They have a history of turning scrap metal into charitable donations, and support many local charities including Accrington Stanley Supporter’s Club, RSPCA, Maundy Relief and the Official Accrington Stanley Supporter’s Trust.
